These Terms and Conditions govern your use of www.crossroadsclarity.net and your purchase of the Career Crossroads Intensive. Please read them before booking.
1. About Crossroads Clarity
Crossroads Clarity is the trading name of Mark Polereczky, a sole trader based in Norwich, United Kingdom.
Email: info@crossroadsclarity.net
In these Terms, "I", "me" and "Crossroads Clarity" mean Mark Polereczky trading as Crossroads Clarity. "You" means the person purchasing or using the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. The service is sold to individuals for personal career decision-making, not to businesses or employers.
3. When the contract is formed
The information on the website is an invitation to book. A contract is formed when your payment is accepted and you receive a booking confirmation. The confirmation and these Terms together form the contract.
If the website, booking page and confirmation contain inconsistent information, the booking confirmation will take priority for the date and time, while these Terms will take priority for the legal conditions of the service.
4. The Career Crossroads Intensive
The Career Crossroads Intensive currently includes:
- a short pre-session Crossroads Snapshot;
- one private online coaching session lasting up to 90 minutes;
- a personalised one-page Crossroads Map, normally sent within 24 hours after the session;
- a tailored 14-day career experiment; and
- one written check-in approximately seven days after the session.
The session is delivered online through Google Meet, Zoom or another agreed video-conferencing service. You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and private setting.
The Crossroads Map and career experiment are based on the information available during the session. They are not an exhaustive assessment of every possible career option.
5. Price and payment
The price is £149, inclusive of VAT. Payment is due in full when you book and is processed through Stripe via Calendly. Crossroads Clarity does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Any future price change will apply only to bookings made after the new price is published. Discounts do not have a cash value and cannot be combined unless expressly stated.
6. Your statutory right to cancel
If you are a UK consumer who books online, you normally have 14 days from the day after the contract is formed to cancel without giving a reason. Other consumers may have similar mandatory rights under the law where they live.
To cancel during this period, email info@crossroadsclarity.net with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may use the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to.
If you ask for the service to begin during the 14-day cancellation period, you may have to pay a reasonable proportion of the price for services already supplied if you later cancel. If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period, your cancellation right ends only if you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that you would lose the right once the service was fully performed.
Any statutory refund will be made to the original payment method within 14 days after Crossroads Clarity is informed of the cancellation, subject to any lawful deduction for services already supplied at your express request.
Nothing in these Terms removes or reduces any cancellation or consumer right that the law does not allow Crossroads Clarity to exclude.
7. Cancellation and rescheduling after the statutory period
Once any statutory cancellation period has ended:
- You may cancel or reschedule by emailing info@crossroadsclarity.net at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time.
- You may reschedule once without charge. A further change may be treated as a cancellation and a new booking may be required.
- If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, the fee is non-refundable.
- If you do not attend, the session is treated as used and you must make and pay for a new booking if you want another session.
- Bookings and unused sessions cannot be transferred to another person.
The 48-hour period is measured from the scheduled start time shown in your booking confirmation.
8. Lateness
I will wait for up to 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. If you arrive within that period, the session will normally still end at the original time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without prior agreement, the booking may be treated as a non-attendance and no refund will be due, subject to your statutory rights.
9. If Crossroads Clarity cancels
If I have to cancel or cannot provide the session, you may choose either a new mutually agreed time or a refund of the amount paid. I will not be responsible for additional travel, accommodation, lost income or other costs associated with an online appointment, except where the law requires otherwise.
10. Clarity Completion Guarantee
After receiving your Crossroads Map, you should be able to answer these three questions:
- What career decision am I actually facing?
- What do I still need to learn before I can make it confidently?
- What specific action will I take within 14 days to obtain that evidence?
If you cannot answer all three, email info@crossroadsclarity.net within seven days after the Crossroads Map was sent. You will receive one additional 30-minute private session at no extra cost.
If, after that additional session, you still cannot answer all three questions, email within 48 hours after the additional session and I will refund the full £149. The refund will be made to the original payment method.
The guarantee concerns these three defined outcomes. It is not a general promise that you will feel completely certain, choose a final career, obtain employment or be satisfied with every conclusion. To use the guarantee, you must have completed the Snapshot, attended the session and participated reasonably in the process.
The guarantee is additional to, and does not replace, your statutory rights.
11. Nature and limits of the service
Crossroads Clarity provides structured career coaching and decision-making support. It does not provide:
- therapy, counselling, psychiatric or other medical treatment;
- diagnosis or treatment of a mental-health condition;
- legal, financial, tax, immigration or regulated investment advice;
- recruitment, job placement, CV writing or interview representation; or
- a guarantee of employment, earnings, promotion, admission to a course or any particular career outcome.
You remain responsible for checking information, seeking specialist advice where appropriate and deciding whether to act on any idea discussed. You should not resign, invest money, retrain or make another substantial commitment solely because it was discussed during a session.
Crossroads Clarity is not an emergency or crisis service. If you believe that you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services or an appropriate crisis service where you are located.
12. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- take responsibility for your choices, decisions and actions;
- treat the coach respectfully and not use the service for unlawful, abusive or harmful purposes;
- protect your booking links and join the session from a suitably private environment; and
- tell me if the service is not appropriate for your needs or if you require a reasonable adjustment.
13. Confidentiality
I will treat information shared during coaching as confidential and will use reasonable measures to protect it. Confidentiality is not absolute. Information may be disclosed:
- where disclosure is required by law, regulation, court order or a lawful request from an authority;
- where I reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to respond to an immediate and serious risk of harm to you or another person; or
- to service providers that process information on my behalf under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection arrangements.
The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, stored, shared and retained.
14. Transcription and notes
A session will be transcribed only with your separate, express consent. No video recording will be retained. If temporary audio processing is needed to create the transcript, the audio will be deleted once the transcript has been produced and checked. The transcript may be kept with the coaching record for up to three years.
You may decline transcription without losing the service. If you decline, I will take written notes instead. You may withdraw consent to transcription before or during the session, although information already lawfully processed may still need to be retained where there is another legal basis to do so.
15. Intellectual property
Crossroads Clarity retains ownership of the Untangle, Map, Test method, the Crossroads Snapshot structure, templates, exercises, website content and other pre-existing materials.
You may use your completed Crossroads Map, career experiment and other personalised materials for your own private, non-commercial purposes. You may not sell, license, publish, reproduce for others, teach from or commercially exploit the underlying templates or method without prior written permission.
You retain ownership of the personal information and original material you provide. You grant Crossroads Clarity permission to use it only as reasonably necessary to provide and administer the service.
16. Testimonials and feedback
Feedback may be requested, but you are not required to provide a testimonial. A testimonial will be published only with your separate written permission. You may choose whether it uses your full name, first name, job title, photograph or an anonymous description. You may withdraw permission for future publication by emailing info@crossroadsclarity.net, although material already lawfully printed or distributed may not be recoverable.
17. Refusal or termination
I may decline or stop the service if it appears unsuitable, unsafe, outside my competence, unlawful or abusive. Where I stop the service for reasons that are not your serious misconduct, I will refund a fair amount for any substantial part not supplied. This does not affect either party's existing legal rights.
18. Responsibility for loss
I am responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of my breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. I am not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made, or for business losses arising because you used this consumer service for commercial purposes.
I am not responsible for the result of a decision you make, information supplied by third parties, or an interruption caused by your equipment, internet connection or environment.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
19. Events outside reasonable control
Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside reasonable control, such as serious illness, widespread communications failure, natural disaster, government action or failure of a key online platform. The affected party should notify the other as soon as reasonably possible. If the service cannot be rearranged within a reasonable time, either party may end the contract and any payment for services not supplied will be refunded.
20. Third-party services and links
The website and service use third-party services such as ChatGPT Sites, Calendly, Stripe, Google and Zoom. Their own terms and privacy notices may also apply. Crossroads Clarity is not responsible for the content of an unrelated third-party website reached through a link, but remains responsible for selecting and using its service providers with reasonable care.
21. Complaints
Please send complaints to info@crossroadsclarity.net. I will normally acknowledge or reply within 48 hours and will try to resolve the matter fairly. A delay in responding does not remove your legal rights or any applicable deadline for exercising them.
22. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in the service, technology or law. The version accepted when you booked will normally govern that booking unless a change is required by law or you expressly agree otherwise.
23. General legal terms
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. You may not transfer your booking or contract to another person. Crossroads Clarity may transfer the business or contract only where doing so does not reduce your rights.
No person other than you and Crossroads Clarity has a right to enforce this contract, except where the law expressly provides otherwise.
24. Governing law and courts
These Terms and any dispute are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, you retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence and may be entitled to bring proceedings in another court under applicable law.
